Rainier Valley Rowing and the Pocock Foundation's Outreach and Access programs welcome two new staff as RVR gears up for its second successful season.

Bill Kalenius Bill Kalenius, director and coach of the Vancouver Lake Crew, and dedicated oarsman, passed away September 23rd, 2009.

After a long battle with cancer, Bill passed away peacefully on the morning of the 23rd surrounded by family and friends. Voted one of the Top 10 "Most Caring" coaches by USA Today in 2007, Bill founded VLC in 2002 after a long stint rowing with Lake Washington Rowing Club.

H. Robert Morris H. Roger Morris, the last surviving member of the 1936 Olympic-gold Husky crew team, passed away July 22nd.

The last surviving link to one of Seattle's greatest sports achievements has died.

H. Roger Morris, 94, who manned the bow position on the University of Washington crew that won the eight-oared gold medal at Adolph Hitler's 1936 Olympics in Berlin, died Wednesday at his home in Maple Valley. More on Roger Morris
