Technology

Technology will not resolve training and performance problems, but when well used, enhances understanding of technique making the path to success quicker. At our training center, we are using the best of technology to remain cutting edge in this very competitive sport. PRC also partners with Swedish Medical Center High Performance Lab for a wide variety of other physiological testing. [ Partners ]

WEBA

The WEBA is a system of data intake, download and evaluation. It consists of devices that are equipped with sensors for force, angle, acceleration, speed and heart rate. These devices are strategically placed on the boat to download multiple measurements of force output. It allows us to compare baseline speed efficiency with racing speed efficiency as well as the correlation between power, acceleration, and speed. The reports generated from the WEBA are extremely detailed in data and can be used with actual video for a complete analysis of the entire rowing stroke.

Dartfish Video Analysis

At PRC we take video analysis to the extreme, capturing video and analyzing it with a powerful program called Dartfish. Dartfish has the capacity for side by side comparisons of crews, overlaying one clip on another, 1-2 camera views, StroMotion, and a wide variety of other timing and measurement. This analysis helps reveal the evolution of an athlete’s movement and can drastically enhance technique and execution of the rowing stroke.

Rowperfect

Rowperfect is the first rowing machine to accurately reproduce the physics of rowing, and in doing so mitigates injury. Many World and Olympic champions attest to its effectiveness. The unique patented moving resistance mechanism, coupled with the Rowperfect flywheel, delivers the exact feel of a single scull. The program has two Rowperfects that can be joined together to provide an excellent training tool for team boats.
